Which story you're choosing to live today

Have you ever asked yourself which story you're choosing to live today?
Whether we like it or not, we’re all a bit like actors: some perform without realizing it, others carefully choose what to bring on stage. Every choice, every gesture, every word shapes the life we live. Even when the facts seem already written, the real difference lies in how we choose to live them.
We move within stories that run through us: from family, work, relationships. Sometimes, we follow a script that was handed to us, repeating it day after day. We get up, play the expected part, and by the end of the day, we return backstage with the feeling that something's missing.
The scene repeats, the rhythm is familiar, but the meaning fades.
Many scripts come from far away: “That’s just the way I am,” “That’s how it’s always been done,” “It’s not my job.” These repeated lines turn into silent rules. Yet every time something happens, we have the chance to choose how to face it, how to live it, how much space to give it within us.
That’s where true freedom takes shape, between reacting automatically and showing up with intention.
The stage is quiet, without lights or applause. But it's right there we choose our tone, our words, our gestures. It’s there we can shift pace, rewrite just one line, and change the meaning of an entire day.
Sometimes, all it takes is one question to open up a new possibility: “What if you lived it differently?”
That moment often marks the beginning of change. It's a small but precious space, the one between the event and how we choose to stay within it. That’s where a person finds their voice again, their energy. No longer a spectator, but author and protagonist. No longer caught in the plot, but present, alive, fully on stage. With everything we are.
Choosing requires intention, a little patience, and a touch of irony. Because sometimes the old story protected us, but now it no longer represents us. Choosing to change it means recognizing who we've become.
In the end, the question is simple: How will you choose to live what happens to you today?
Even when we can’t change the scene, we can still choose how to stand in it. We can keep playing the role we were handed or begin shaping one that truly reflects who we are. If you feel it’s time to live your story with more intention, coaching might offer you a space to explore that with honesty.
